Road Map Needed

... for my life. There are things, people, that have entered my life, that make me feel one way or another... that make me want to make sure I know who I am and what I want. It's always the best moments, the best people, the best feelings that let me know I'm either doing the right thing or that I want something different. The problem is, I have a hard time deciding.

Truth: Everything will work out the way it should.

Middle Of The Day Walk

I woke up absolutely exhausted today. Why? Well, I went to the gym for a while yesterday, then two hours later when on a run with a good friend. I slept maybe 6 1/2 hours, which probably isn't enough to make up for all the moving around I did yesterday. Fortunately I was able to leave work early to grab the bus home. Instead of doing exactly what I had planned, however, I ran into a friend and walked home with him. It was a you-had-to-be-there kind of story as to why it took us 1800 hours to start walking, but it was a great walk. It's a few minutes of a day like this that I'll remember when I'm old and be thankful for.

Crazy Brides

http://www.yourtango.com/20083474/the-skinny-bride-diet.html

This article sums up how I feel about the soon-to-be bride weight loss program--or--any woman who becomes obsessed with their weight before their wedding. I understand if they want to lose weight for the purpose of being healthy, or if they are actually obese to the point of needing change. If a wedding is what kicks you into gear, so be it. However, there are perfectly beautiful women who are a great size, yet they feel the need to starve themselves to look good for everyone. A wedding is about the two people committing themselves, but it seems to turn into a nerve-wrecking few months of making. everything. absolutely. perfect. Why does it have to be perfect? Why must one shed four sizes in a matter of months? In reality, these women probably look better in their normal size, as beautiful as the day they said "yes" when he popped the question. And super tanning? Don't even get me started!

When I get married, I'm going to do my best to enjoy every moment after I say "yes" to when I say "I do." No need to feel pressure to make everything "perfect" for everyone else.

And We Meet Again

I love how I keep up with a blog for a good few months, then out of nowhere, decide to delete the whole thing, THEN, decide to start again.

Yes, I've made the choice to begin writing again--about anything. I can't promise not to bore you with menial tasks of the day, such as brushing my teeth with a new kind of toothbrush, or actually using an iron for once in my life, because... well, the latter is what my next post will be about.

Until then...
